At the League of Women Voters Forum in September, we heard the incumbents that are running for re-election talk about how the TFD pension wasn’t a pension and was merely an incentive that could go away at any time… but that no firefighter or their family should be upset because we (and they), were doing this never expecting anything in return, despite a multi-decade program designed to do exactly that.
